Privacy policy
In short: your scans and receipts stay on your phone. No account, no ads, no analytics and no internet permission.
Doc Scanner (Google Play package app.falaqa.docscanner, called "the app" below) turns photos of paper into PDFs, keeps receipts and combines PDFs.
Photos and camera access
The app asks for camera permission when you choose Camera. It imports only photos you select through Android's picker, copies them into private working storage and never overwrites your originals. It does not request contacts, location, microphone or broad storage access.
Drafts and retention
A draft holds the original photos, page order, corrections and, once made, a local PDF. Drafts stay on the phone until you delete them. Removed or replaced photos stay inside the draft until it is deleted. Private document files are excluded from Android backup and device transfer.
To delete a draft, open it, choose Delete draft and confirm. This removes its photos and local PDF, but not copies you saved or shared. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes all drafts and settings, so save important PDFs first.
Receipts
Receipts mode stores each receipt photo with the details you type (store, date, amount, currency, category, note) in private app storage on this phone. The app does not read text from the photo. Receipts are excluded from Android backup; use Back up receipts to save your own copy. Moving a receipt to Trash and then choosing Delete removes it and its photo for good. Backups, spreadsheets and reports you saved earlier are not deleted.
PDF tools
PDF tools copy the PDFs and photos you pick, open or share to the app into private working storage. Your originals are not changed. The working copies are deleted when you choose Start over or the next time the app starts. A combined PDF leaves the phone only where you save or share it.
Purchases
Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play, under Google's own privacy policy. The app learns only whether Pro is owned and keeps that record on the phone. It never sees your payment details.
Temporary files
Unfinished import and export files are cleaned up when the app next starts. Temporary share copies are cleaned up after 24 hours, when the app next opens or makes another share. A copy another app already received follows that app's rules.
Network and sharing
The app has no internet permission, analytics, advertising or account system. A cloud storage provider or sharing app you choose may send your PDF over the internet under its own terms.
